Mirco-Weddings

Looking for something other than an elopement but smaller than a large wedding? Consider a Micro- Wedding for up to 50 people. As the bride and groom, you can enjoy 2 nights together in your choice of accommodations. Choose your favorite ceremony venue on the farm, our private preserve, or local 1800s country chapel and design your own intimate ceremony and reception.

You have 2 Micro-Weddings offerings to choose from!

Option One:

We provide the picture perfect ceremony venue
Two nights accommodations for the Bride and Groom.
Guests of the bride and groom may reserve Thistledown Farm accommodations through AirBnB, subject to availability.

Price: $3,000

Option Two includes the following:

Ceremony Venues: Our private preserve, pond, meadow, forest, saltwater cove, flower garden or 1800’s country chapel, all on-site or within easy walking distance.
Wedding Officiant: Your choice of a Maine Notary or ordained minister
Marriage License: Guidance on how and where to obtain your marriage license.
Wedding Flowers: Professional Florist Designs for bride, groom and attendants.
Reception Space: 1800’s former schoolhouse, adjacent to chapel, an easy walk from the farm.
Bride and Groom Accommodations: For the bride and groom, 2 nights in our private cozy yurt in the woods or one of our glamping safari tents, (seasonal) or our all season private and romantic suite, Udder Heaven, on the ground floor of the 1800’s barn.
Bride and Groom Gift: A celebratory welcome beverage and charcuterie board from us.
Professional Planning: Assistance to bring it all together for your special day.

Please note:

Micro-Weddings are limited to 50 people
Cold weather ceremony venues include a blazing massive granite fireplace in our heated 1800’s barn or the charming Country Chapel.
The Country Chapel and Schoolhouse event space must be reserved in advance. Both venues are heated.
Food and beverages for the event are not included, though we will gladly recommend area caterers.
Guests of the bride and groom may reserve Thistledown Farm accommodations through AirBnB, subject to availability.

Deposits

A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to reserve Thistle Down Farm for your special day. The balance must be paid in full two weeks prior to the event.
